Gospel Week

2016-17 UCCKE Gospel Week held between Oct 3 -7 was a great success. This year theme “From This Day Onwards, We Can Fly” aims to inspire students, Christians and non-Christians to lead a richer and more abundant life.

Students had the opportunity to listen to the inspiring stories of faith shared by our teachers, schoolmates, and guest speakers. The school invited Mr Sammy Leung who is a popular DJ, MC, and actor to share his testimony in the Assembly. Missionaries from China, Thailand, and Tibetan districts also shared their ministry.

Through various activities, students learned more about mission work around the world. Seeking the purpose of life, many S1 & 2 students joined the Gospel Orienteering organized by United Christian Fellowship (UCF) members. The Mission Booths designed and organized by the S4 students were also well-received by students. In the Gospel Forum, Rev. Louie Lui and Mr. Yeung Chun Keung discussed the perplexing, tough and thought-provoking religious questions raised by students.

Above all, leading students to Christ is our ultimate goal. Every morning throughout the week, class fellowship committee led the Morning Prayer & Worship, during which students and teachers alike lifted up students’ needs in prayers and prayed that God would soften the hearts of non-Christians, letting them taste the goodness of God. On the very last day of Gospel Week, we had Gospel Chapel and Experiential Theatre in which students had a chance to reflect on Jesus’ Crucifixion.  Many students accepted Jesus as their Savior and many re-dedicated themselves to be fervent disciple of Christ.
