Liberal Studies is one of the four compulsory subjects in the New Senior Secondary Curriculum, with the first candidates sitting public exams in 2012.

The aim of this subject is to ensure that all students develop an understanding of the major issues confronting our society in the 21st century and that they are equipped with the critical thinking skills that they need in order to make informed, critical judgments about these issues. Students are encouraged to read extensively.

In the month of January, there is a special Liberal Studies book display in the School Library. Items displayed cover the core components of the syllabus: Personal Development, Modern China, Hong Kong Today, Globalization, Energy and Environment, and Public Health and Biotechnology.
